Illumination series - Ausable Splendor

Rich natural walnut and cherry wood tones with Youghiogheny stained glass combine to create a warm focal point in your favorite room.

My designs call on cues from the Arts & Crafts movement and the Mission style of woodworking. The angles, arcs, and lines are harmonious and clean allowing the material to speak boldly. Natural stone tops the design with a water-like appearance. The surface of the stone is shaped by the same water that these trees grew from. A twenty hour cycle in a kiln burns the image into molten glass. This lighting series focuses on the arboreal scenes we encounter as we travel coast to coast.

The Copperesque studios live within an expansive forest which provides a palette of maple, oak, walnut, and cherry. The on-site sawmill is at the ready to process trees throughout the year as storms take them down.
