Show everyone where you are from, or your favorite vacation spot (the Finger Lakes Region of New York of course) with our miniature map pendant! This 1800s map image is paired up with our two toned glass tile in a kiln fired process where the glass rounds and pools for a smooth stone-like feel.
This pendant measures 1.25" square with Sterling Silver plated bail and 18" black cord necklace.
Includes gift box with signed card with description of the process on the back.
Pendants are formed from 2 pieces of glass, one transparent and the other opaque, fused together for 12 hours in our kiln. The image is printed on special paper with a high iron content toner, then applied to the cooled surface of the glass tile. It goes back in the kiln for another 12 hours, where the carrier paper burns away and the iron particle image fuses with the glass surface. This process forms a permanent image with a sepia-toned photograph feel.
